Ruben, drawing inspiration from his Mexican heritage and love for Californian flavors, embarked on a quest to craft the perfect empanada. His goal was to bring the essence of authentic Mexican recipes, infused with the freshness and vibrancy of California's ingredients, specifically Real California Cheese.

The Empanada Shop soon became a name synonymous with innovation and quality. Our commitment to excellence was recognized when we were honored with the “Real California Excelerator 2023 Innovation Award!” powered by VentureFuel and the California Milk Advisory Board. This accolade was a testament to our dedication to creating empanadas that are both delicious and unique, featuring the Real California Milk seal and made with real California cheese
